Sofala is a great place to
free camp, as there is hundreds of spots along the Turon River, There's
Wallaby Rocks,
Big Bend, Jackie Kurons, to name a few. Head towards
Hill End or head towards the first crossing Upper Turon and you can
free camp along the Turon River. They say the Turon River is the second fastest flowing river in Australia. Remember to bring your own firewood and make sure you dispose of your effluent properly. Glenn Brealey
