Hi,
Does anyone know what the right angle edging around the windows on the aliner Is made of. It seems to be a light, very brittle plastic. It has come off in about 4 -6 cm lengths. Would like to replace it as now metal is exposed.
Thanks
Sue

Hi Sue.
We have a Chalet van, very similar to the Avan. We wanted to replace the front fixed windows (identical to Avan) with opening ones, and were quoted $800 ea supply only, by Avan, !!! so we made our own, which work pretty well. As per usual, could'nt get pvc angle even near the required size anywhere, so bought a length oc 100 X50 white PVC stormwater downpipe from the local plumbers supply shop,($23) and cut it down to the rerquired size on the saw bench, mitered the corners, and screwed in place (SS screws), after sealing. It works well for us. Can't see why the same method can't work for you.

Regards,

String,
