Bugger :(

Hope you heal quickly, maybe you could sneak some time later on, just tell them you still need time to heal.

Murphy's Law - the longer you plan, the more likely something will happen at the last minute.

Our recent trip to the CSR - 18-24 months in the planning - had to re-build the front diff the day before we left.

Hope your hand gets better Pete

Pete, you maybe able to claim your leave back IF you have sick leave available. If so, you maybe able to take your leave when nearly better and use it as rehab........ Just a thought

Hope your hand heals very quickly.

All the very best,

Well Pete there is one thing you can do.
Go back to work and claim sick leave and have your holiday later.

Update, surgeon had a look today and I have torn off the tendon and nerve and damaged the joint, go in for surgery on Thursday and they said should only be 1-2 week recovery. And I have only just got over a bout of the shingles as well. Think it's time to just pack up and do the big one, which is next years plan .
