Just trying to find out the alternator output capacity of the new Colorado 2 Ute. I am told by the dealers that it is 145 amps. It seems high but has anyone got a recent Colorado Ute and can confirm thta to be true? Many thanks for any
feedback.

If it is 80 amps or 140amps or somewhere in between it is of very little consequence.
Unless you are regularly going to have the recharge a heavily discharged battery bank, a normal OE alternator is going to do the job.
If the dealer says 145 amps and it is a 20 less it won't matter.
Is there a reason why the figure is important to you?

Does it have one of the late model "smart" alternators controlled by the ECU ? They can cause a few drama's with dual battery systems, might be best to speak to the dealer or aftermarket suppliers.
