Ok ... I have a lap top ( for playing trivial pursuit during inclement weather) what else do I need to get a navigation system up & running? I think it would be smart to have a few clues before I front up to buy whatever I need. Is this a cheaper option than buying an off the shelf in car navigation system? Do the maps provide good detail? Is it as simple and easy as it's made out to be? Will I still need my sextant & compass to corrororate my location?
