Hi All,

Just a quick note to let the regular formumites know that our baby girl arrived safely into the world 9pm last Wednesday. "Shelby Ann" weighed 6lb 14oz and was 50cm long. Both of us home now and doing well and Matty is loving the role of big brother.

Will be around a bit more when things settle down and our visitors go home.

Fantastic news to hear of the safe arrival of "Shelby Ann". How did Greg hold up with all the effort us Dad's have to put in .... the back rubbing, the glasses of water, the stress and worry, keeping the house tidy when mums away.
I hope that Shelby Ann settles in well - actually I think it is the Dad's that should do the night time settling but all the mums say, "But he has to go to work the next day..."
Make sure you rest!

Sorry, missed out the "H" in Shelby, but you know how to spell it!

Any Mustang or Cobra owners in the family . . . yet?"Live today as if there may be no tomorrow"

You're forgiven Wombat. No Cobra or Mustang owners but I do luv 'em. Funny how people associate the name Shelby. Men, including my husband, immediately think of the car connection. Women think Steel Magnolias! When I thought of the name, I had no idea about either!

Congratulations Melissa and the other campers.
Have had you in our thoughts mainly because of the lack of posts from you.
Glad to hear you and Shelby are doing well and hope hubby is recovering too.
The sooner you get her into a routine the sooner you can get out there again.
Best wishes from me and Mrs Des. I'd rather have my bum on a beach in Broome
Than be stuck here in this damn room.

Ohh I've just read this! Congratulations Melissa. I have been thinking of you and hoping you weren't struggling with last week's terrible heat and humidity but it seems you were - that wouldn't have been fun at all. I just couldn't imagine labour in that heat, I have a hard enough time just being pregnant and coping in this weather. So a great big congratulations on the safe arrival of little of little Shelby and we look forward to seeing a pic appear in your rig pic.ExplorOz

Thanks Michelle! Lucky for me our house is airconditioned and despite Western Powers pleas to conserve power, I made full use of it. Hardest part was keeping Matty amused indoors. And then Shelby was 2 days late the little minx! Hope all is going well with you.

Onya Greg, Michelle & Matty........

G'day Shelby Ann!

It was only last night while surfing EO that I realised we hadn't heard from Miff for a while.

I s'pose this will have to do as a reason, eh?

What a talented girl you are Malissa, you can change wheels, fix gear boxes and diffs, strip down motors, weld, fit out campers, clean and fillet fish, run a busy house hold, cook the books and bring beautiful little girls into the world as well. Your a lucky and talented Mum and little Shelby is going to be just as talented as her Mum, what a wonderful life she will have. I know your family will love and cherish her and we wish you all a long life of good health & happiness. Congratulations.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Melissa & family, We know what fun and happiness daughters can bring, and we wish you every joy that we have had and more. We are still waiting for a grandaughter, our daughters have given us 3 grandsons so far, the latest 3 weeks old, another baby expected mid April. So will see if we can start buying collectable Barbies for this one :>) Our son( is married, but hasn't started a family yet) is promising a grandaughter, as he said, only good looking blokes make girls. So there you go, so looks may improve with age.LOL
Best wishes Geoff & Jen
