Well folks, time again to hitch the old Gazal behind the old Jack & go for a drive..
for a month..not going out of NSW this time, as all the far flung outback has been done & time to slow the pace a bit. Also time to follow our new found hobby..canoeing.
So the paddles & lifejackets etc are packed, along with a little "lectric motor" in case we get tired.
Route includes
Wellington, Coonamble,
Lightning Ridge,
Bingara,
Copeton Dam,
Woody Head,
Wooli, Repton.
Will call on a couple of mates & down copious reds & tell a few porkies.
Well, better keep packing...keep the joint tidy while I'm gone wont you ?
cheers....oldbaz..& the childbride..:)))).

Baz, sounds good, some great camping at
Bingara on the Gwyder, towards Copeton, don't forget to call to call into the
bakery at
Bingara, great
rock cakes, and have a coffee at the old picture show cafe. safe travels, Keith

You are absolutely right Baz. We are off next week for a couple of months. We plan to drive some iconic tracks, weather permitting, to end up in the Centre.
Just south of Woody Point, in on the coast from Maclean, is a NP
camping area at
Red Cliff where you can share space with dozens of 'roos. A bit further south, on the same road, is
Brooms Head (caravan park) and Sandon River that has canoeable water. Of course, some of the rivers behind
Grafton are legendary canoe and kayak territory. We did the Old
Grafton Glen Innes Road through there a few weeks ago, but not with a canoe, of course.
But your basic itinerary looks great. Best wishes to you and your good wife from me and
mine.
Cheers,
Kevin
