There's a club that is about to tell it's members what apparel they can wear on trips... what next.
God I'm glad I got sacked from that club.

I joined a car club for a few reasons and one was to get cheap historical vehicle registration. Anyway, the club had an outing and had organised to meet up with a neighborough towns' car club. When we arrived at the lunch venue all the members of the other club wore bright yellow car club shirts with their names emblazoned on the top pocket. I have learned that if you do not wear your shirt you get fined. Good grief. Clubs become like the Public Service. You have to conform and abide by their rules however stupid they may seem. I left the 4x4 club scene 20 years ago and only attend the car clubs' Xmas do as it is located in another town 130km from where I live.

Cheers,
Willem

Lets not let the truth or half truths get in the way of a good story. Asking people to wear stout shoes (yes that the apparrel talked about) on a club trip is commonsense, even then its only at the discretion of the trip leader - maybe you wear thongs running around the bush!.

Don't blow someone else's candle out to make yours burn brighter.

Can't see anything wrong with that. We have rules at work also, boots, no long dangling hair around machinery, saftey glasses in certain areas it goes on and on and I agree with it. Give some fools enough rope and they'll hang themselves. BEAM ME UP SCOTTY
