Steve,

I noticed a post that was taken off . It was lodged Sunday, I think, and it was a big For Sale ad. This forum is not the place for big For Sale ads.

I agree with you Wayne but you should have seen the reply I got from the person who lodged the for sale ad. It is no wonder I have to do some moderation. As the person swore and told us to f off in his email, I could just imagine what else may have been posted or for that matter what may be posted next.

And Steve it is this site that has a for sale section not the forum. We put a lot of effort into the entire site and the forum is just one of the many areas of the system we call ExplorOz. More reply to your question below.Regards

Steve,

There are heaps of reason for holes in the post list:

1. I test things sometimes at night and add several posts to the system and then remove them.

2. I also have to moderate some posts on occasion.

3. Some people make mistakes and submit the thread twice and I remove the duplicate hopefully before too many people have replied in both. In this case always take to latest thread (ie. the one at the top/first). I will delete the second, thrid etc etc.

4. Some people think about what they wrote and then ask me to remove the thread.

I never reuse a post id so holes will appear. Why does this make it harder for you to check new stuff? I ask because we build our site based on what you ask for, (within reason and budget of course) there may be someting I can do to help.Regards

What, I am confused now! Are you tell me that posts you have lodged are missing?

As new posts are lodged they go to the top. We fill about 1 page of new topics per day and have around 150 replies and 150 followups so you may find the post are on page 2 or three.

Is this what you mean? I am trying to work it out.Regards

Ahhhh I think I get it now. If you are using the Members access to the forum it is only showing you the new/updated posts since your last logon. So if the post you are looking for has had no new replies/followups since you last logged on then it will not show the post thread at all. You would need to clear the search (using the Clear Search button at the top of the forum index) to show you the entire post list.

Is this is answer?Regards
