Anyone travelled the
Holland Track from
Coolgardie to
Wave Rock in WA recently? I would appreciate a 'heads-up' on it's condition and any other info. Cheers

Hi Ron I travelled the
Holland track over
Easter and concider it a great trip Some parts are fairly scrubby so be prepared for a few scratches. It is pretty much a two wheel drive treck apart for the need for ground clearance, unless, there is heavy rain then you will certainly be stuck! I would recomend the '
Holland Track Map Book' byWestate Publishers I think it is available from Oppisite Lock stores in W.A. Regards Ken.

look, i dont really want to get involved in this pathetic bleep slinging match but for what its worth, i dont think anyone was really accusing anyone else of anything. i may be wrong, but i think the point that was trying to be made was basically that in adopting the track the Toyota Club has taken it upon themselves to look after and manage it so it can be enjoyed by everyone for many years to come. no one is saying that the Club are the "police" of the track but they simple care for it so other can enjoy it. Now, on the other hand i can see how some people (including me i have to admit) sometimes get a little annoyed when others, particularly from 4wd clubs, attempt to force their views/opinions onto other people. That said Ron, i suppose it will be in your interest to speak to the TLCC not to ask permission, but to get as much info on the track as possible.

i also want to add that it is disgraceful that a user of this
forum has been turned away and is going elsewhere for his information simply because a couple of people want to argue, come on guys it really is not so important that its worth bleep off other users. Ron, not everyone on this
forum is out to make trouble, and i for one would like you to stay and not to be turned off by these select few.

Hi
After all that , I forget who asked the original question...
that said I have been on the track a few years ago and enjoyed.
The
HOLLAND track book gives a phone No. ( I think it was the Mining Co.)
You can ring for an update on conditions

Brian

Ron, hope you are still using the
forum. Michelle mentioned that a trek note is being prepared for the HT and it is I that is supposed to be doing it. Sorry for the delay but it rained and as a farmer who grows crops I needed to sow them. I have not been into the ExplorOz site for weeks so I am trying to catch up while waiting for a phonecall.
If you are still there, email me at geeangee@katel.net.au and I can give you a quick rundown of the HT.
It is an excellent drive and not challenging 4WD-wise (unless wet). It actually starts in
Broomehill in the Great Southern not at
Hyden.
