Sounds like a great trip
We are thinking of a trip to the MT MOFFATT section in July. Our original intention was to leave the 23 ft 5th Wheeler at
Injune and take our camping gear into the National Park .How did the van you were with travel, and is there somewhere closer than
Injune to leave the Truelux. We have a Navara STX which tows ok on dirt .

The van AKA Vicki travelled very
well, it is an old Off Road version.
I was out front acting as a spotter so we could travel a bit quicker than having to guess where the bad bits were.
If your 5th Wheeler is capable of dirt road use, with some bad sections ie rutted creek/
river crossing then I would say take it.
If you do take the 5th Wheeler then I would recommend camping at the Dargonelly
Rock Holes as it is the largest and easiest to access when towing. I would also send Bruce (IsuzuMu) a MM for more details from him towing Vicki in ;)
We drove in via
Injune and exited via
Mitchell, just to change the scenery.
Hopefully soon there will be a Trek Note created for the Mt Moffatt Section, I just need the plt file and it is complete.
Cheers Kev
