Comment: Following the Big Wet - 2011 Trip – Part 10: Lake Eyre and Cooper Cree

Thanks for your blog! We covered the same area as part of a larger trip around the same time as yourself. Great to reminisce! The country was in fantastic condition, and camping near some of the isolated billabongs was a rare treat for the morning birdlife display. The Lindhurst pub people were so unbelievably rude, even for a bushie like me, that we moved on. The Coopers Creek ferry crew were just the opposite -funny and helpful. We were the longest load (Troopie and Tvan with long draw bar) they had ever fitted on the ferry, but they happily juggled things so we fitted within the legal limits. Can't wait to get back thataway!

Thanks for your comment and hopefully we were able to add to your reminiscences! There is so much to see out there, but the water really was amazing to see. We certainly had a great trip, hope you did too.
Cheers,
Val
