Hi Michelle,
Sorry to ask "I was very excited to be given some kefir grains to begin making my own probiotic and have replaced all commercially bought yoghurt, creams, etc with my own homemade kefir instead and are deliberately making smoothies" - how do you make the Kefir. Lis bought some Kefir powder and was curious if you can use it in soy or almond milk (as opposed to dairy milk) and how you keep it at 20 degrees for 24 to 36 hours (as per instructions).

Ok - I have an email that I created some time ago with photos and stepbysetp instructions for making kefir to give to the people I've supplied with my strained kefir graines (my dad, and then my neighbour). But what I'll do is I'll put it up as a blog. It is very thorough so should be useful. Stand by....
