Comment: We can't let our old bushmen die (Hancock's Store)

Baz
I went to Murringo in early November after reading your article on Hancocks Store , I have been meaning to post/reply to your blog but have been remiss in not doing so earlier .I met Leah and Richard , spent several hours looking about , talking about old times . found that we had a few people that we both knew , and places that we had been , knew where the bullock yoke above the door was sourced [ not all that far from my home ] , had a couple of beers , bought a whip , key case [ which Richard made for me and sent to me ] ,and Richard's book about Syd , a very enjoyable place to visit with salt of the earth people to meet and remember
Well worth the visit for anyone with interest in our heritage
Thanks Mick C

Hey Mick, great spot and I'm glad you met with Richard and Leah. In fact I want to get back out there myself soon! They have been looking for Syd's old wagonette, but not sure if they have found it at this stage.

Salt of the earth, yep, that is the only way to describe Richard and Leah...

Cheers, Baz (The Landy)
