To All,We have just comleted another round of site improvements. For all those that asked we have added the abilty to sort the responses by lastest post date. Also the entire backend of the forum has been updated - it should run a lot faster now.We had some feedback about errors when paging through the results - this should now be fixed.Members have the ability to add a screen name to their profile for use in the fourm. The search system has been improved a little.Let me know if it is better worse or same and continue to provide feedback as we do make changes and updates if you request them.David

Missed one point - I have had someone ask about adding the submitted time to the forum thus allowing even more control over showing the lastest questions and responses. Is there much interest in this? I suspect that the time would be displayed on each Question, Response and Followup also we may be able to add this to the search such as show me all updates since 12:00 on the 01/05/02. Any additional thoughts on this?David

David,
I believe, that used sensibly, the screen name change provides a new dimension of security for those who may give their name and general address, especially when requesting information regarding trips etc, inadvertantly.
Thanks for the change.

Thanks Lizard,I do not know who you are but you must be a member if you are now using a screen name. I have been thinking of adding a field that will show Questions/Answers and Posts that members lodge. It will not do any more than show that this person is a member and is known by us as a good reliable source of true and accurate information. Do you think this is a worthy change.Maybe I should change my screen name to something! I like the idea of being able to view responses by date/time posted. It would make it easier to see what's new since the last visit.

Nigel,Do you mean the addition of time. As the members system and also search allow you to search the system showing changes since a date. Is the additon of the time what you mean?David

David, improvements are great, just love the site, check in on daily basis, sometimes twice a day! Hubby and I have learnt so much over the past few months. Recommend the site wherever we go and talk off road 4WD'ing etc. We head off to Karumba for 4 months next week and doing our very first off road trip from Cunnamulla to Innamincka and then perhaps to Burketown from Normanton. Your trek notes of 98 and 99 have been very helpful. Keep up the good work, regards to you and Michelle. Jinki
