I recently read that
Vrilya Point has indefinitely closed due to the
bridge being unstable.
Does anyone know if this is correct or not?

It is correct. I saw an e-mail/facebook article. Definitely shut.

Going by the thread I saw on MySwag
forum a few days ago, yes that is correct. Hopefully this link works, if not copy and paste the whole thing to try and get it to work. It's a
pic of a Nat Parks update stating the 3 reasons why it's closed this season.

Looks like you found a similar link stating the same anyway as I was posting my reply up.

Bugger!!
Thanks for the update, we were discussing only yesterday the merits of
Vrilya Point for our July trip. It seems everything else is already
well on the way to being booked out on the Qld Parks web site (Chilli Beach, Iron Range, Elliot Falls).

The
bridge and the rubbish left has now caused concern for the Injunoo council, Chilli Beach is also closed, one day people will understand it's not their backyard to dump their rubbish in.
