We have just bought a vast satellite kit and need to put in the explore oz wall socket to connect the cable from outside. We are a bit worried about drilling a hole in side of caravan in case we hit wiring. Any suggestions as to where to place it or safest way to do it please.

I came through the wall next to the frig vent so I could see where I was going. Then threaded the cable up the back of the frig to the Sat Box. On the outside I used a wall mounted flush plate with the RG58 connector. When travelling I put a blank cap on it to prevent dirt ingress.

Cheers

I came in just under the window below the outside aerial, I will stand corrected, but I don't think there are any wires going through the walls, if you look, you will find well hidden but plumbed on the inside. Only thing to add, is make sure you apply a suitable sealant to the fixed plate on the outside wall.
