Hi All, Got a couple of prices for bullbars for my 99 Jack. I'm interested in an ARB bar or a TJM. I would prefer steel despite the weight { I think ?? } & I want a winch bar & of course has to comply with ADR with regard to airbags, & so I know it aint a $5 item but the quotes I thought seemed to be a hell of a lot of loot. The quotes were $1200 each. Can anyone give me an idea whether this is in the ballpark & if not, any suggestion where to try, even if another reputable brand.
thanks,

Pete,
When I fitted a TJM steel bar to the MQ Patrol in 1986 it cost me $850 fitted, so $1200 would seem about right for a good steel bar,

Peter,
Sounds close to the mark, nothing is cheap these days, you might keep your eye in the local paper, or in the weekend papers you never know what might pop up. 4wd club meetings especially specific marque clubs may be able to help. Sometimes the fourby shops sell secondhand gear off cheaply when customers have upgraded. Keep your eyes out something may turn up, the vehicle is four years old now goodies should start to be come available.

Yeah cause of the airbags they charge a premium for a compatible bar , $1200 is the best i have come up with as
well , i'm heading towards the arb winch bar.
