Can anybody tell me if travelling from NT to WA via Yulara to Giles with fruit and vegies is ok or not?

Tony,There is no checking station however, you are not meant to bring these items across the border. I am not sure if there is a check furthur down the Great Central Road but not between Yulara and Giles.David

Tony, please don't bring F&V into WA beyond say Warburton as you could introduce diseases or pests that will cost producers millions of dollars. WA's isolation keeps out many of these and means our produce is much more "cleaner and greener". Thanks for your consideration. :~)

Tony, There are no fixed check points. But there are signs advising about the fact you are entering a quarantine zone. There are fines if you are caught with fruit or vegies if you encounter a random check point. Simply it isn't worth the risk.

I live in Alice & we are infested with fruit fly. Up till now the NT Govt doesn't seem to want to know about it. As others have stated, please don't take any fruit or vegies out of the Centre, even if you bought them else where.
