Lake Mungo is an ancient dry lake located in south-western NSW. Protected within the Mungo National Park and within the World Heritage listed Willandra Lakes Region.

Same distance from Brisbane to Cairns, a three day trip by car. Seems to be an interesting material for a documentary if there are 2 or 3 more subjects around or on the way.
Any experience from members about Mungo and nearby areas.

Regarding what exactly ??
I went 15-16 years ago...
happily go again tomorrow
we got lost very easily with the many tracks inside lake mungo
we had planned to go to menindee lakes but the rain forced the road closed, soo we ended up going to mildura.
the rabbits at the time were unbelievable. ...never seen soo many rabbits in my life.

Hi ferrarofilms, I have been there and would recommend a visit. Its world heritage listed and its a very special place. Try and book into a ranger guided tour if you can.
