great setup , i like not being able to drill holes!

so it looks like the unit is only able for back seat patrons? wont swivel to front?

do you have a navara or is it just a toy you want?

Hi Toonfish,

I have the navara which is my car. The Patrol is used by "My other half, and is the family wagon, and our camping car.

I use the navara for 4wd when I am solo, or only 1 passenger, any more ie wife & 3 kids then I will take the patrol.

I have set the mobile desk up in the patrol only to test it out over the weekend as "The Family" has family get togethers that we have to attend over the weekend.

My idea of the setup is to be as follows:

1. I have purchased 2 of bases connectors, one fitted to the patrol and the other fitted to the navara.
2. When in the navara, I set it up in the front passenger seat.
3. When in patrol, setup in the back for kids to watch dvd's which gps running.

When I have set up in navara I will take some more pics.

Many Thanks

Hi Tony
I fitted one to my Troopy and found the fork mounting system does not stay in place as well as I had hoped in the rough.
So I made my own by welding a socket on to a length of angle iron that I then mounted between the two front bucket seat mounts. across the transmission tunnel.
The two point bolt system is a lot stronger and the system now works real good, very happy with it.

I have a question for you the mounting bracket that I see you have fitted to stop the screen from flopping around I am guessing is something you made yourself and not commercially avaliable ?
I need the same to stop the screen from swinging in the breeze so to speak.

Regards
John

Hi John,

The bracket which stops the screen from flooping around was purchased with the mobile desk system.

I understand it can be purchased as a seperate "add on" item as part of the mobile desk system

Many Tahnks
