Rob
OME Nitrochargers and Monroe gas magnums, these two shocks look identical with the exception of the brand name stickers and the cost $130 vs $80 respectively. Are they the same Monroe shocker just rebadged??

According to OME, the cases are the same as they buy them from Monroe in bulk. OME then then micro polished inside the case and hand assemble the final product with better quality values designed for 4WD use. I guess it's a case of "it's what's on the inside that counts".

I think that OME use a much heavier shaft 18mm as against 14mm something like that, also OME have high temp 'glacier' seal and variable valveing. Regards Ken.

Hey Rob. 4wd MOnthly did a shock comparo a while back. The OME and Monroes performed differently.
TJM have a special on at the moment, buy 3 get one free of their Series 2000 shocks. That brings their price down considerably.
Cheers.
