Numerous people have them, but the thing is making the bracket to fit.

I actually had a bracket as a template took it to a guru to make, and he swore blind he would never do another one.

They fit better if you have a body lift, as you need the space. You can fit it under the original alternator..

2 places to check for more info.

Outerlimits 4wd Forum in the Nissan forum, I know heaps have them, theres only a few 2.8 owners left on the forum, most are converting them to TD42's or V8's..

Lawrence,

I have an Endless air (8 cfm air con compressor) fitted to my 1999 GU 4.2 turbo Patrol. They supplied the bracket and compressor. It was simple to fit. I went to Pirtek and picked up the plumbing bits. The receiver fits neatly where a winch would sit.

Brilliant. Cost about $1,200 fully fitted (I had a switch inside for an old ARB job). You can pump up tyres as if you were using a shop compressor. You won't look back.

Endless air is in Melb somewhere. Try a white / yellow page search.

Good luck,

Chris.
