Midge
John Charleton of John Charleton Fishing Charter picked us up from the beach at Punsand Bay when we were up there a few years ago. We had a great day visiting Thursday Island, snorkelling and a bit of fishing. I'd certainly recommend him. The phone number I have is 07 4069 3302.

Midge,
Hope that they have not closed the Creb Trek,I went through there last Sep. and it was pretty badly cut up but a new Ranger station was just about finished near the turnoff to Roaring Meg falls--maybe they are thinking of closing it from there South to Daintrie village as that is the steep rough section. If it is open do it as the scenery is great but stay away if any rain at all.

I dont think its closed yet even though it is no longer being maintained.

Iv been told they wont close it untill the power lines are removed.

Iv also been told that the gates were closed for a while as some new residents to the area shut them without knowing how popular it is.

This may not be true.
