Hello Pesty, I notice that you have coil springs on your 60 series. Can you let me know what sort they are ie brand and who fit them. Much appreciated.

Hi Boeing,
The coils are commercially made, but the mountings are made by a springworks in
Gawler SA and the lot are sold as a kit. $330 2 years ago and I fitted them. Not sure which state you are in. I am unable to remember what brand the coils were, but I could ring them if you want, to see if they are still using the same brand and if a kit could be sent to you. The only other ones I know of are Freds coils in Qld.
The springs come in 3 sizes 13mm 14mm 15mm. My original springs were shot and all I did is fit new bushes and a pair of 14s to the rear and they are as good today after 2 years and 100,000 ks as when I fitted them, and I tow a trailer most days and there is 400kg of permanent gear in the back. They ride and work
well .
I am even thinking of putting a set on the front.

Thanks Steve,
I have seen the ones advertised by Fred's in Qld and I think that you have to take out a few leaves to fit them but I might be wrong. As I am in WA I will give springworks a call and see if they have an agent over here.

Boeing I didnt remove any leaves but
mine were pretty flat, call 08-85226122, they are a small company so I doubt they will have an agent but may be able to send them to you.

Read the load restraint laws lately ??
how about the GVM ?
Where's the weighbridge when you need one??
Ha HA nice work, reminds me of our poor valiant paddock ute we had when i was
young, we used to stand the lenghts up against the sides and fill er up in between... Can you say 'bump stops and very flat tyres' ..

Its not on a road !! LOL
And what brakes?
About 2 1/2 ton I reckon but the trailer is only down about 2-3 inches below its normal height and has carted 100s of tons of gear since 1967 when it was built.
