Hi

Most but not all 16's will fit , it actually depends on the wheel rim offset which has the potential to rub on front brake calipers - which further depends on brake pad condition.

A negative offset is usually ok.

I have 4 sets of wheels , and on 1 set they just rubbed with new brake pads and I had 5mm aluminium spacers made up to fit.

On another set from Huntsman with zero offset I also got a very small scrap as wheel rotated , and just ground off the caliper edges a bit.

Note - the bigger front brakes of the 4800 are more of an issue

I also have Nissan 16 X 8 alloys from 2004 and they are fine with 285/75/16.

Also my set of trak II's steels are great and these are my most used wheels as they are light being only 16X7 with a10mm offset and can take the 265/75/16 size and whose combination makes the car more stable due to increased track.

I have 285/75/16's BFG Muds on 16" neg 13 off-set steel rims on my 2014 GU Patrol.
Looks great and fits with no problems.
