I bought some stainless steel billies the other weekend and they came with a little stainless pot that sits in the top of the billy (and the lid sits on top)
my question is... what are these for?
any takers?
cheers,
KG

For starters you can
cook your spuds in the bottom and heat up the baked beans in the top. The variations are endless.
Also handy on gass cooker for heating up small amounts etc ,pliers come in handy.

guess my limited culinary skills have restricted my outlook.
steak on the plate, spuds in the billy and that's a meal.
3 things at once? now you're pushing it.
cheers,

They're good for reheating leftovers etc. Idea is not to use this bowl directly on the stove top, only in the top of the billy by utilising the heat in the steam when boiling the billy or cooking vege's in the billy proper.

I,ll give you the right answer KG . The billies were made in China ,so , the bottem is for the fish , meat or what ever , the top half is for there boiled rice . Made that way to keep them separate . Thay use them over there to take there meals to work with them . Here , we use them for billies , and the little bowl ,
well , use it for what ever you want . Cheers
