Use big name brand garages (
Mobil, Shell, BP etc).
I often take a clean glass jar with me and give a squirt of diesel in the jar, if it is clean and clear, ( a bit like the colour of vinegar/light cooking oil) it should be OK.

what do you want to
test for ?? if only water then easy, clear container and look for it settling at the bottom, can also get a water testing paste you dip in on a stick, it turns from green to purple if there is water present ( get it at aviation suppliers )
