Port Hedland Visitor Centre
The Town of
Port Hedland will open the racecourse for low-cost camping to assist road-based travellers looking for short-stay accommodation. This overflow
camping area is available from 1st May-31st August for a maximum of 3 nights with a fee of $10 per RV per night - only when all other caravan parks are at a 50 percent capacity.
Exceptions being: for oversize RVs and/or if your pet is not accepted by the licenced caravan parks.
All RV's must be fully self-contained with internal
toilet and shower facilities, NO non-self-contained RVs including tents,camper-trailers mini vans - backpacker or the like.
For payment and conditions of use please call into the
Visitor Centre in Wedge Street or the Civic Centre in McGregor Street
Port Hedland.
