I had the engine light turn on when having problems starting up a few days ago,
after stopping and restarting it turned it self off.

I pull out the Gregorys to retrieve the fault codes,

it reported 0707 - Injector Pump - communication line I cleared it and the car is running fine.

I checked again to verify the fault had cleared and I got 0505

This is not in the gregories, anyone happen to know what this code is?

Thanks

Paul

Usually the engine light refers to there beign water in the bottom of the fuel filter, grab the onwers manual and follow the instructions to get it out and you should be ok.

My light used to come on quite a bit.

There is a sensor inside the fuel filter and if the filter gets blocked the light can come on, and if you you hit lots of bad corrugations then you might see the light flash on but when this happens it is not a problem
