Had a rotten experience at work today. A few days back the office reeked of a dead animal and we couldn't find it anywher....until today. Came into the office and maggots were raining from the skylight- dead bird in the ceiling. Just to make matters worse I went to turn on the computer and!! no go, the little puss buckets had got into it and fried the circuitry and as well they got into the monitor and buggered it as well. Our friendly Techo reckons about $400 to fix the brain box and a new monitor about $175 for a 17" and I bet the maggots wont pay!!
PS: Tea Tree oil gets rid of the stench fairly well.

That's a bit on the gross side, reminds me of when we were kids a mate held a dead bird above his open mouth, and something from the bird fell into it...the rest of us laughed!

Try the insurance policy, I bet it hasn't got "will not cover damage from maggots" anywhere in it.....but then again

Reminds of a time long ago when I was young diesel mechanic. Had a small FIAT bulldozer in the shop for a gearbox job. Now this little FIAT was used in a chook farm to scrape up all the chooks**t and pile it somewhere. I got the short straw and had to lay on my back (no pit) undoing all the bell housing bolts etc. The steam cleaner was broke so it was literally a "sh**heap" under there.

I came out covered in "chooks**t" with my hair and ears and nose cavities swarming with those little pale yellow, hard shell, worms/grubs that live in "chooks**t".

This was in the days before "Occupational Health and Safety" and "Duty of Care" was invented.

Boy, I've had a hard life at times :)

Hi Vinnie,

Bad luck about the computer, though sounds as if you got some great herring bait. You into fishing at all?
