Ol'Salty
Hi All, Just became the proud owner of a second hand 2004 Kimberly Kamper.
Seems ok so far, just finding all the bits and peices i missed on prior purchase inspection.
I bought the camper without the mattress and with KK closed down I cant get any info, can any one tell me wether I have to have a mattress with the splayed of edges or not.
And what size?
Also would like to find a manual, again with KK closed im stuck and though i can manage, it would be nice to have.
Thankyou all so far, all the KK posts have saved me a multitude of questions allready.
Cheers,

It has to be splayed, my KK is stored away from my house so I can't tell you who made the mattresses, we bought a new inner spring one 2-3 years ago.
Do a search and you will find a custom mattress company (in
Brisbane?) who specialises in custom caravan and camper trailer mattresses, they should know the dimensions
We bought a inner spring one from that company them before we bought our KK
As a short term measure, get a foam one from Clark Robber and cut to size.
You will find the KK inner spring mattress far more comfortable than their original foam ones
If you reply to me with your e mail address I will send you a pdf KK manual for 2000 to 2007 series
If you luck out on mattresses, look up Ian Shum in the
Ballina area (0266 ) phone book, he used to be in charge of spare parts/ after sales service. He should be able to tell you who they bought them from if he isn't totally browned off with the lousy treatment the employees got

Oooh, I dunno about that, Mark. We tried one. I was ok, but the
Cook though I'd bought a slab of concrete :-) They took it back (bless 'em) and gave us one of their later model foam types. Firmer, better than the original foam type. Mattress comfort is a very individual thing!
Also, try Adam Noble, ex
Kimberley but now with his own business servicing
Kimberley products, On Track Camping
Services. You'll find him on Facebook. (I'm not on FB so can't give more detail)

Gee thanks Frank, Adam was super helpful to me getting parts to me at
Bamaga almost overnight when things went Hell West and Crooked a few years ago.
I need some repairs done courtesy of my stupidity, thanks for the lead on Adam

This is a grab of Made to Measure Mattresses, in Clontarf Qld, with most of their contact details.

Hi
Try Beds Direct in Epping. We got ours there a couple of years ago when upgrading from foam to inner spring. When we pulled the original foam one out it had the Beds Direct label on it so
Kimberley must have got them made there (in Victoria at least).
The inner spring one cost us about $300 less than the foam one we bought direct from
Kimberley! No great surprise there I guess.
Beds Direct will most likely have the dimensions you need on file - if not ours had a taper of 650mm (length way) by 225mm (across).
