Al & Mrs Al (Vic)
it's a lovely day here in Alice, and the McDonnel Ranges Caravan Park is something else...spent the morning walking about and went into the Panoram Gallery which was great...and had the aircon fixed - hose rubbing against pipe I think..[.Andrew the Toyota people wouldn't look at it til tomorrow 2pm and that's too late for us, so the local guy fixed it...don't know if we can claim the cost or just wear it]....went up to
Anzac Hill and took some pics and saw the Ghan come in....and then took some pics of us standing in the
Todd River....long drive tomorrow up to Three Ways, then
Daly Waters and then a couple of days in
Katherine before heading to
Litchfield NP....and...I love seeing the Wedge Tailed Eagles...I've stopped and taken a few shots of them at road kills [hahhaha..as you do....]
cheers
Lyn

You just love rubbing it in don't ya Ma! I am sittin here in my office reading about your trip and the depression is setting in mighty quick.
On a lighter note though, it definately sounds like you are all having a ball. Keen to see some of the photos on your return!
Stay safe and take lots of photos!
cya,
Sam.

Hi Lyn:
It is a magnificent part of the world ther - I am envious.
I was there on the day of the Peter Falconio incident, and got caught up in the roadblocks and car searches, so I had extra time to spend in and around
Alice Springs. I *think* we went to loook at the Telegraph Station during that time - interesting place and great scones prepared by a lady in period dress. But the other
places you mention are equally as interesting.
Daly Waters is a scream of a place (the pub). I had to be dragged out in the end I was having so much fun there.
Enjoy your trip.
Jack

Glad to see everything is all OK. Thanx for the call.
Have a look at the Telegraph station near Tenant Creek for a comparison as your going pass. Have you unpacked the shorts yet?

Bet it was cold there this a.m. - we were 4 here and didn't get above 17 all day - but beautiful sunny and clear day - you should be having the same weather. Great CP you are staying at - kids would love it. As for the wedgies - they are beautiful, are you amazed at how many there are about?
