Bribie Island and dogs

Just a heads up for anyone thinking of taking thier dog with them to Bribie /4wding up Ocean beach next time they go....read the rules and follow the no dogs allowed rule, Within 150mtrs of where we are set up today on the beach, I saw the Police pay 4 people a visit and make them pack up and leave.. I have no idea if the dog owners were given a warning or fined for having thier dogs there, but the Police spent some time with each offender and all 4 owners / 4wds were made to pack up and leave the beach.

Doesn't matter who does the work. If people want the camping/visiting experience shut down...just ignore the rules and consider them for everyone else but themselves!! F wits..

Police have the power to enforce local council bylaws. As local bylaws officers have the power to enforce some road traffic regulations.

So, the statement is inaccurate.

Yep, it's not just there, but lots of places.....they need a big sign that says no dogs....no generators...etc etc...if you disobey this sign, you WILL be fined...xxx amount of dollars.

This instance, they got caught, they were asked to leave ( who knows if there was a fine ) and they go, bugger MAYBE next time we won't bring the dog.

Many of us dog owners don’t need the warning.

When we did our lap in 2016 many towns not dog friendly (eg Coral bay WA) were bypassed.
