We'd be grateful for any feedback on systems that people are using- we want to keep travelling but have the opportunity to work and need reliable internet for video conferencing, website management and phone when we're set up.
Looking at the Vansat Datastar system
Thanks in advance

Like you, I run a small drafting business which I take with me while on tour with the van in tow.

I generally stick to the blacktop and I use Wikicamps to find our overnight stop, I have a filter set to "must have Telstra reception". I have managed to find camp spots even along Eyre Highway that I have had mobile access.

A quick look at the Vansat Datastar system and you can get unlimited data for just under $2,500 per month which is fine if you can bill your customers but very expensive if you can't. Would be a good tax write off if you can do it.

web conferencing and satellite internet are not going to work . The latency due to satellite will make it unbearable , and that's if the connection will even stay alive
