Hi all,
am planning a trip from Alice to
Mount Isa and beyond in the next few days. Can anyone give me an update please on the condition of the
Plenty Highway?

A friend came across from Harts Range area, a few days ago, and said the dirt was okay. She even had a photo of a grader working on the road.

1) Smooth gravel in the sections where is was freshly graded (almost continuous grading at some spot along the way)
2) Possible sharp stones stood up by the grader
3) heavily corrugated in some sections
4) Varies from gravel
5) to stony
6) to sandy,
7) with the odd patch of bulldust thrown in
I can guarantee you will find all of the above conditions in the dry, it is a long stretch covering different ground conditions
And make it either slippery or muddy when wet.
