I agree with you Frank. was not sure of the name.Lake Frome in the distance and north of Yunta if I have the right ruin. I think the pictures were taken near the old chimney stack at Waukringa gold mine which is on top of the hill just west of the ruin

Yes it’s the Waukaringa Hotel taken at dawn from our camp at the mine site.

Thanks Stephen. It's a beautiful drive up to Hawker from Yunta. We've done it a few times, taking a different route each time.
