There are a couple of camping areas on the foreshore of the lake, but I reckon they will be over flowing if Warby's boat is going to be trying for a record. There are campgrounds in Tumut. Sorry, but not sure about Talbingo, but I think the camground is still going there.

Hi Barry,

If you don’t already have it, download the WickiCamps app, it will have most of the campsites around the area you are looking at. The thing to remember is that it is “user updated”, so the info may not be entirely accurate or up to date, but it is a good starting point.

You could also look Blowering Dam in Places on this forum.

That shows the campsites around the reservoir. The red caravan park pointer is for Talbingo CP. There is a report on WC from someone who stayed there 20 days ago. For $8 you can download CW and get the info for yourself.

read bazookas post, probably going for about 400ks have just put a new tail fin on,need to work up to this speed again to check it out, before any higher speeds, they need to get too about 550 clicks to get the record, lot more testing before the big one, also look up snowymagazine.com.au will be good to go even to the lead up

“I want to know the boat is doing the numbers comfortably before I call for a record, because it is going to be a circus when that happens. I wouldn’t want to do that and have the boat not going to produce. When we call for the record, the boat will do the record.”
Hope their confidence is rewarded when they finally decide to make the attempt Barry.

Ken Warby's 511.10 kph in 1978! is some record.
