Hi there,
Last Thursday, the WA premier signed an agreement with the traditional owners of the
Gibson Desert Nature Reserve to jointly manage the reserve.
From what I can gather, Native Title is still currently extinguished and the reserve is still an Class A Reserve so access shouldn't be restricted.
The reserve will be renamed to "Pila Nature Reserve".
The agreement is called, "Lurrtjurrlulu Palakitjalu Settlement Agreement" and I have yet to secure a copy (can anyone help?)

Here's a picture of Gerald's Knob in the Browne Range in the reserve from a few weeks back

Thanks for the info Alan,
Hopefully, access etc won't change.

Re the new name,
well, they needed new signs anyway. :) Here's what I saw as I entered and exited on the Gunbarrel Hwy last year.
