Heading out on the Adventure Way next week. No time constraints and no fixed plans, but would like to get out as far as
Innamincka. What are the must sees, road conditions etc? Has anyone been out that way recently?

I did it a few years back and it was a very badly potholed sealed road. Hopefully its had some reapir work since.
But someone told me the other day its now sealed between
Nappa Merrie and
Innamincka.

The Burke & Wills Dig tree is
well worth a visit at Nappa Merie. To stand in that place and realise that these guys (and a lot of others) walked this country with pack horses and camels, while we drive it in air conditioned luxury 4WDs it makes you realise how tough they were....

There is currently a large amount of tourist traffic on the AW. Also oil and gas transport so take care,

Currawinya National Park out
Hungerford way is
well worth a visit...probably had one of the best kept old shearing sheds I have seen there

Currawinya is great ....... with those hot showers !!!! Bit more civilised these days with some walls, unlike our first visit which just had the shearers' open lines of shower heads ..... best wear your togs !!!
Our last visit was poor because it was so dry, very few birds, water low.
Right now it should be wonderful.
Cheers

On the road full time, so plenty of time and plenty of
places to see, but never been there, so why not?
