Thankyou for taking the time to read this. I want to put an endless air system together for my 1hdt80 series. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a bracket or some plans for a bracket to suit. I've looked everywhere but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Kind regards
Russ

It's an engine driven air compressor that is driven by the drive belt. The compressor is mounted under the bonnet. Not connected to a battery to operate but switched on from inside.

I am assuming then the compressor is connected to an auto inflation system to the tyres?

Years ago, "ENDLESS AIR" was a brand of reused auto aircon compressors, filled with grease for lube and the outlet connected to your inflation hose. The attraction was, because it had an electric clutch it could be activated when needed.

It is Macca .. you just have to get out every 100 metres or so to unravel the airline. Tedious but effective.

Well Jack, if it's an electric vehicle, you can connect-in yet another extension cord while you're out. LOL

The endless air system does not have an auto inflation system never has. As RMD said it's a modified air conditioning compressor that you engage the clutch and it compresses the air rather than refrigerant.
They are incredibly fast and with an air tank you can drive air tools etc.
They still sell them today for many different 4wds.
I'm just after the bracket or a diagram / dimensions if someone has one laying around as I can modify the compressor to pump the air.
If unsure what they are have a look and a read they are worth it if you need bulk air at a high pressure.

Have you been in touch with Endless Air? They would have a bracket, I feel sure.

looking at the endless air link, the compressor that you describe is very similar to that of a vechile aircon compressor mount. May be check out the dimensions of the hole centres and see if they match those of a aircon compressor mount

Thank you for replys. I actually want to make my own so that's why I was looking for a diagram of anyone had made one.
Endlessair are incredible air compressors. I've made them before for my patrol it took absolute hours. I was hoping that someone would have the dimensions of a bracket so I didn't have to go through the hours of design that it takes. In saying that I understand that if anyone has done that they should be compensated so I am willing to negotiate.

As an ex auto aircon technician that specialised in Plant Equipment I nearly always had to make my own engine support brackets.
Most of the time it was quicker and cheaper to make one than order one from the country of manufacture
Not knowing your location I'd advise you to seek out a company that actually makes the required engine brackets and ask their advise , and if they already had one made.
In Melb look for AutoTrack - Essendon.

Logically, Seeing the 80 probably already has an aircon compressor and that place is taken, won't the bracket you desire have to be in another place if constantly belt driven? That would mean a custom bracket anyway. I would imagine anyone b[-needing one to have made it , as we do, and not ever drawn plans.
There are so many different aircon comps with 4 lug faces and other end lugs too. It all depends on the air style/type of compressor you want to fit. Endless pissabolities.

I used to have one on my 80 series, best ever setup with a good sized tank. While pumping up my tyres the system would cycle as it produced more air than what was going into the tyre.
Here is a link that you might be able to follow up on and get some info. Unfortunately can't remember in great detail how mine was mounted but did piggy back on original.

The bracket endless supply spaces out the air conditioner pump and allows the endless to sit between it and tappet cover. I did what you are thinking of doing to a petrol 80, start by checking out the wreckers for water pump pulleys, if you can find an old 60 series 2h air cond pulley, they sandwhich between the pump and fan. There’s your drive.
