On the PC I have the map, should the PIN icon at the top of the screen show so as to be able drop a pin at the crosshairs.

Are you using the web version or the Windows app? No matter, the pin should be there on the blue bar. When you drop a pin it will either tell you it is dropping at the crosshairs or in the app ask you if you want to drop the pin at the crosshairs or at you present position.

If the pin is greyed out or missing - your Places database needs to be downloaded. Go to Data Manager.

Hi Guys,
I have the same issue I think, All I know is that it was working a few days ago but now I cannot drop a pin anywhere to create a route. The pin icon is greyed out and un usable but all data bases have been downloaded. I also have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck.
OS Windows10.
Help requested
Cheers
