Brian,
Last weekend I went to Supacheap and Autobarn looking at battery jumper leads for my sons car as he had summoned me to his work at 2am for a flat battery.
Mine are built from 100A cable rated at a genuine 100A at 48VDC continuous load(guess where the cable came from)??
Supacheap had three sets rated at 100, 200 and 400A all using the same gauge of conductor but with increasingly thicker insulation and price.
I would rate the Jumper leads we saw at about 15 Amps and have used heavier cable for my feed to my
driving lights on the current rig.
Based on that I'd suggest that the 900amp starter pack may provide the rated output instantaneously (for about 5milliseconds) but is unlikely to deliver more than about 50 amps continously for the duration of the start of a cold diesel, in any case the voltage drop across such a thin cable will most likey make a jump start somewhat hit and miss.
Remember if its cheap there is a reason so if you want a starter pack for bragging rights it'll be fine but if you think you might need to rely on it to get you out of thebleepthen I'd be looking a little closer at what it is really capable of.
Happy Travelling (and may you never need a starter pack!)

Brian,
I've been stuck with the supercheap 900amp battery pack as my backup. It wouldn't get the 3.0 ltr diesel even turning over but would start my in laws 302V8. But fortunately i had my Pro Tiger chinese gennie on hand which got enough power into the battery in 80mins.
I returned the battery pack and it was exchanged no questions asked but the replacement wouldn't charge, I got my cash back second time round. Once again no questions asked.
I haven't made my mind up on what to do now but definitely need something more reliable.
Cheers
Macca

There is a time and place for the cheap stuff, but you have to exepct it to work like cheap stuff. I bought a Cheap air compressor from them, mounted it under the bonnet, pumps the 10rs up to 30psi quick as, but anything after that you'd be able to
cook a roast before it finsihes, however it's fine, 30 psi is enough to get me to a servo, so I'm happy.
Got cheap spotties, work a bloody treat, don't usem very often but they are there and I save a few hundred dollars. Sure they are not as good as IPF's but hell they are heaps better than just high beams and a quater of the price. They are metal all over good solid mounts and came with relays, wiring, crimp ends and plastic see through covers. You just have to be wary and look very closly, and don't assume ANYTHING, the chinese don't care if they misrepresent somthing on the cover!
Just like the rechargable batteries I bought the other day, it said "digital" on the packet, WTF LOL.
