I’ve been on the
Holland Track three times in last decade, as recently as last October.
In that time I’ve seen it go from a pleasant long weekend drive to a place I’d find it hard to recommend due to the large number of car deep holes in the track and the never ending diversions around them
If it’s been raining forget it
Even in October it was slippery in
places.
Sad case of a track overused and not respected .

If you read some of the
blogs on the internet regarding the
Holland Track, a lot of people say it is not suitable for towing a camper. I did, but in dry conditions. It is testing in that some of the "chicken tracks" around the humungous bog holes are across brush and bushes with tree roots and sticks where you don't want them to be. To get the trailer around the bog holes you have to swing the vehicle out wide so the trailer inside wheel doesn't fall in (if you get my drift) and that puts the front outside of the vehicle into the tree root zone.
There are some very tight turns with tree stumps either side and if your camper has a long drawbar, you may find it very trying to get around some turns without damage. I don't think I have had to concentrate as hard on any other trek as I did on the Holland. Look left, look right, look down, look up and look back! You will easily do a tyre, smash a wing mirror or ding the trailer if you do not.
You will need to enjoy changing/holding gears as it is slow going in some
places. I think I only used 4WD in one place on a jump-up near the gold
mine.
Apart from that, it is a great track.
