Inline diesel filter for 44 gallon drum pump ?

G'day All
Looking to put a filter on my drum pump which is a GPI HP100 dual flow lever action.
I've spent hours online searching but only come up with rather expensive options, which I'd be happy to buy if I used it more regularly but these days it gets used very rarely.
Most of these filters attach to the pump itself but I was hoping to find something to fit in the hose.
The drums were almost new and have been cleaned very very
well prior to filling with diesel but I guess I'm just looking for some peace of mind added protection before putting the diesel in my vehicles.
Anyone know of an inline diesel filter with 20mm barbs each end ?

A quick Google brings up a variety of brands, Gazz, but just these filters pictured. No inline units as such. Remember Amoco servos used to have inline filters on their bowsers, but that’s a while ago!
Fuel Filters Galore
This is the style of drum pump I’ve got. To keep the integrity of the filter, I’ve fitted cam locks between the pump, filter & delivery hose. These rotary pumps are the duck’s nuts! They seem to last for ages, even the Chinese ones. There wouldn’t too many R22 helicopters flying, that don’t have one of these strapped to the rear of the engine frame.

Bob I was thinking similar last night. Back in the day Amoco supplied filters on all their
farm storage tanks as
well. No problem with flow restrictions. I was thinking that a lot of them would still be lying around on old rusted out tanks. Seems like the spin on filters are available for $30 odd but to buy a whole new filter and housing they are suddenly more like $100. A lot for the flimsy simple alloy housing. I guess a 100 bucks is not too bad really if that is going to do the job.

I looked at them and have contacted Alemlube and a couple others.
As mentioned to Michael I'm probably being too cautious as I know the fuel is good and the drums are clean. If I were to be using the pump and drums more often I would just buy one of the Alemlube filters but I can't see me using them much longer.
Used the pump quite regularly when I did my tours but was nearly always for petrol - one trip I did we had 32 motorbikes to fuel up. Had three 44's strapped to the head board of my trusty old Patrol traytop.
If I could get something for 30 bucks like Roy mentioned that just screwed in or cut in and fitted with clamps I would grab one.
