Tutorial question for newby

I know this may sound silly but have you tried reading the manual. Found at the bottom of the main Menu(top left of map screen).

There is not a Navigation Button. To navigate click on a place you wish to visit and click on the green wiggly line route. This will create a navigation route from you to the place you wish to visit.
You create a place by using the drop pin. It can be at the crosshairs and can be dragged while naming your place.
There are some good YouTube videos on how to do this at ExplorOz Traveller videos

I think it’s good practice to ask first, it’s part or learning how to use the app correctly
