Mundrabilla to Forrest

I drove into Forrest mid last year.. not on that road, I came in from the East and continued west.

I spoke to the caretakers about the road.. its apparently quite bad and slow going but its easily navigable. I seem to recall they said to set aside 10 hrs. The caretakers have changed since I was there but by all accounts the new Caretakers are just as friendly - I would call them and ask. http://www.forrestairport.com.au/contact-us/

I really, really enjoyed my two night stay at Forrest, its a very interesting place! I saw one of the Desert Fireball Network Cameras, a Seismic Site, the actual airport in great detail, the old BOM station and the township itself. The little campground is great, and there's often super interesting aircraft arriving for refuelling - a Blackhawk Helicopter arrived whilst I was there!
