Have searched and searched everywhere as
well as here but either there is nothing to find or....I'm useless at searching. Does anyone know if you can still go out there? If so, can you get a caravan out there?

I went out there a few years ago for work. Lots of mining traffic on the road. Road looked okay dry but evidence of being treacherous in the wet (slippery clay). Sorry at the time didn't visit or assess camping facilities. Very interesting place geologically.

Been there a couple of times but not for a couple of years.
Beautiful country and great that it is not going to be mined.
As mentioned above treacherous when wet.
I don’t caravan but I’d reckon it’s not suitable.
there were no facilities when I was last there in 2019.

I think the mining traffic was for Koolyanobbing we went in at the time via Yellowdine if I recall correctly. Riding shotgun for a surveyor.

It's a great spot to visit.
Regardless of what type of caravan you have, you won't get it to the top; the track is windy in
places and very steep. I've had friends forced to leave their camper trailer at the
campground located down on the flat.
Contact Parks and Wildlife at Kalgoorlie; the range falls under their jurisdiction.

Yep we used a couple of the Trek Notes from ExplorOz to explore that area at the end of last winter.
See
Northern Yilgarn Conservation Reserves that includes the Helena and Aurora Range, plus
Bullfinch to
Goongarrie for some nearby info.
There's tons of info in
Places for all the pois and camps in that area and the
EOTopo maps are fully updated to show where most new
mine roads have affected previously public accessible tracks (many diversions) now. There's a lot of exploration and active mining going on there.

You likely have to prove your knowledge in the form of a
test or showing certification whether interviewing with a client or preparing for a
mapquest directions certification.
