After some current road information thru to
Borroloola if anyone has travelled this recently. We are considering towing our 4WD and tandem axle caravan this way. Thanks, Richie,

Go into
Places, start at Hells
Gate and follow the road west, clicking on each place. Most will have pix of the creek crossings and road corrugations. We did it in May last year. Assuming that grading is done at same time after the Wet then July is 2 months later so the road will be a little more worse for wear but it is not heavily trafficked. We met some who said they would only travel it a 40 kmh. A slow trip but they would get thru OK. Also the Trek
Savannah Way may help.

Came through
Borroloola to
Burketown through Hells
Gate 3 weeks ago, Qld side was much better than NT
NT was extremely rough and corrugated actually lost the spare off the back of our van between Seven Emu station turn off and Hells
Gate

Thanks all for the replies, will still consider this travel part. If so, will keep an eye out for the spare, hopefully we have far more luck.
Thanks, Richie.

Agree with myance. Went though 2 weeks ago. Bloody rough first 50km out of
Borroloola. Make sure you reduc tyre pressures and take it easy even in the good part as you still come across dips and pot holes.
All for 50 to 60km/h trip if towing. I went trough with 19ft van

Update: just completed this part and all good, as advised reduce tyre pressures and drive to the conditions. 350mm water at
Gregory River crossing, all the other creeks, rivers
well below this and no problems. The last 100kms or so into
Borroloola pretty corrugated, otherwise all ok.
Thanks for the replies, Richie.
