Nankang Tyres

Appreciate any comments from members regarding suitability of Nankang tyres which I'm considering fitting to my Nissan 720 4WD. Tyre size will be 30R 9.5 x 15" and use will mostly be highway plus some sand dunes & beach running. I have not found any test reports on same.

ive been out of the tyre game for about 6months now.
we used to call nankang tyres NANBANG.
unless they have improved in quality lately they were not a real good tyre.

put some nankang's on a car once 165/60/14 from memory, even though they came up balanced on the machine, car always vibrated, used to be smooth as with the old tyre's, I watched the guy balance them the second time and they were definately not round, one was worse than the others. You get what you pay for, wouldn't buy them again.

Ummmmm, crap! Had 4 H/T on the Patrol when I bought it. 1 had tread separate at 100km/h, 1 flat a week later, no obvious sign why, remaining 2 ran out of tread at 40,000 k's. Better to spend money elsewhere. Tyres fitted April 2003.

Gidday,My wife and I have just completed a trip to Pormpuraaw,Weipa,Lakefield,Cape Melville then back to Cooktown and to home (Mackay).Some of those roads were very rough and I was useing Nankang H/T.They were new on the 80Series when I bought it and performed perfectly.If you set your pressures to suit the road conditions you should have very few problems.
